This deck focuses on attempting to play Wave off curve. If Wave is played on turn 3, then your next card could potentially just be a normal 4-cost, wasting the effect. So if you play the effect later, and attempt to draw it after you have double reveal on the board with Wong, you can essentially get a bunch of free high cost cards. This deck has an attempted failsafe to use Shang-Chi/Destroyer/Onsalught combined with Hela to make sure that if you mess up your off-curve play, you can still respond.
Built with no specific location mechanic, and hopefully accounts for multiple situations where cards may be cloned, or locked out of other locations.

2 years agoAbsolute Garbage, literally no synergy in this deck whatsoever.

2 years agoI'm not sure what the interaction with Wong and Wave you're looking for is, but I don't see any obvious synergy there. Wave's ability affects the next turn, so with Wong you play Wave and next turn things cost 4, then next turn (still the same turn) things cost 4. Doubling Wong with Onslaught after you've already played Wave doesn't re-proc Wave... so I don't think this deck works as described.
Hela only works with DISCARD, not DESTROY, so she is merely half a Hulk here

2 years agoI haven't personally had a chance to get into the beta, but your points are definitely worth consideration.
I had not seen Venom's effect, and I imagine it's also very useful for situations where it essentially gets placed last.
Again, the goal here was a deck for Wave, where the Death/Hela mechanism was a back up plan.
I went for low cost high power to apply Wave's ability as often as I could on higher cost cards in a situation where Wave is also played off curve (not on turn 3). Mainly part of the event chat going on in the Marvel Snap discord for fun.
The plan would be to place Wong on the board first, and Wave after. Maybe I over-thought the curve capability of a 6 turn game. But again, I don't have access to play myself, and I'm just theorizing from watching a lot of games.
Wong is there to double other abilities as well, and can hopefully work with other effects in the deck.
This deck allows for placing the Wave theory to one location, and the Death mechanisms to another, and then by turn 5, I should know which of the 2 to double down on.
Onslaught hopefully gets placed when he's made cheaper by Wave. Then his ability doubles by Wong, who is already on the table. At least I think. Maybe not.
Again, all theory until I can get access to the game. Appreciate your input! I do want to try this out for sure.

2 years agoI don't think Wong and Wave works together as you imply. Also Venom is probably better than Death lock in a deck like this. I don't see the point of Onslaught without other Ongoing, but maybe I'm simply dumb.
