Pool 1 - America Chavez (4), Apocalypse (8), Blade (18), Korg (225), Lady Sif (73), Spider-Woman (117), Sword Master (124), Wolverine (143), Yondu (146)
Pool 2 - Morbius (240), Scorpion (110), Swarm (123)
Pool 1 & 2 offer seven cards that deal directly with the discard theme.
Killers: Blade, Lady Sif, and Sword Master each discard a single card while Lady Sif will target Apocalypse if he is in our hand.
Targets: Apocalypse, Swarm, and Wolverine each want to be discarded. Apocalypse to have more power, Wolverine to be free to play, and Swarm for both.
Observer: Morbius is the only one that benefits from discarding cards without being directly involved in it. However, with the limited pool for discarding he typically ends the game as a 2-cost 2/4-power card (without taking locations into consideration).
America serves two purposes in this deck: because she is ONLY drawn on turn 6 our deck has only 11 cards that can be drawn from turns 1-5, and in the event Apocalypse has not been discarded this game she acts as the backup finisher.
The deck has room for 4 flex cards (the discard package takes 7 and America is only present on the sixth turn).
I personally like Scorpion and Spider-Woman to weaken multiple cards, as well as Korg and Yondu to mess with the opponent's draw.
Some other cards to consider for your flex cards include:
Nullifiers: Cosmo (28) and Enchantress (217)
Pickpockets: Cable (21) and Mantis (78)
Team Players: Blue Marvel (19) and Captain America (22)
Please let me know what you think of the deck, what recommendations you would have for pools 1 & 2, or what cards you would upgrade into pool 3. I hope you have a good day! ^_^
