Big Dumper Rank 100 (Dino Nerf)
Deck Description
Vomit out your hand to lock down two locations early as aggressively as possible, then cap it off with Chavez and an empty hand on t6 to buff Strong Guy!
Deck Breakdown:
America Chavez: No stranger to decklists, Chavez takes on a crucial role for this deck as the only top end play. The deck is designed around planning to play her every game, and to make doing so a winning play. A typical problem situation I saw for Chavez in other decks was if you were behind on two locations, just playing Chavez wasn't enough pressure to turn the tide of battle. So the idea here was to maximize her ability to seal victories by playing out as big of stats early game as possible. Enter Strong Guy.
Strong Guy: 2 energy for 9 power! Strong Guy works really well with my Chavez gameplan when paired with enough spammy cards and discard effects to ensure an empty hand at the end of turn 5. When you know Chavez is coming turn 6, you have a very reliable Strong Guy gameplan! His low cost and massive power spike fits perfectly with Chavez needing you to be winning locations before she comes down.
Hellcow and Blade: These guys are reserved almost exclusively for turn 5 to clear the hand for Strong Guy. Their good stats for cost helps play into the strategy of taking locations before closing the game with Chavez. Swarm does well lingering in hand until discarded on turn 5 to make your turn 6 that much more flexible and powerful! Sequencing Hellcow and Blade can give you different numbers of Swarms, so make sure to consider how much space you'll have in case you need to dump them all for Strong Guy.
Okoye and Nakia: Okoye is still great for decks looking to dump their whole hand as they draw each turn. They are both always played asap, and I'll occasionally consider skipping turn 2 if Nakia is in hand and I don't have a 2 drop to set up. But you don't need to maximize the cards in hand to make Nakia worth it. Just probably don't play two 1 drops on turn 2.
Ant Man, Nightcrawler, Ice Man: These round out the 1-drop package, offering plenty of power/flex/disruption for the cost. Consider saving them up for Nakia, and always try to drop them after Angela and Bishop.
Angela and Bishop: Payoff cards for playing a lot of small cards. Nightcrawler has nice synergy with Angela, letting you play an extra card in her lane. Great to play on turn 2 in an empty lane. Bishop appreciates having a handful of Swarm in the lategame, pushing up into great stats for cost at that point. He can struggle to get big enough without Swarms.
Turn Sequencing Tips
Turn 1: Okoye 100% of the time, Nightcrawler can go in a hidden location in case it seals off.
Turn 2: Pick a lane for Strong Guy/Angela to fight for.
Turn 3: Jam Nakia, setup Bishop or play out as much as you can for power now.
Turn 4: Keep playing out as much power as possible, being mindful not to fill any lanes. Flexibilty in the lategame is important.
Turn 5: Clear out the hand with Hellcow and Blade to buff Strong Guy, and prepare for Chavez. It is really important to be winning two locations at the end of this turn. It is great to have Swarm chilling in hand for this play.
Turn 6: Chavez for the win. Very rarely I will instead play Swordmaster and another card instead, but that is usually a result of getting stuck with weird extra cards or something unusual.
Happy Dumping!
